Simparica flea and tick medicine are proven to be 96.9 percent effective at killing fleas and ticks in dogs, and it starts working in three to eight hours after the first tablet. If your dog has a flea infestation, the medication will kill the existing fleas and prevent new infestations on your pet. If your home has an infestation, you can expect this flea and tick medication to kill 95 percent of the fleas within 14 days and 100 percent of the fleas within 60 to 90 days.
